FollowGrid Terms of Use

1. The Service

FollowGrid lets you load, review, and export Instagram follower and following relationships available through the Instagram session connected in your browser. FollowGrid provides CSV, JSON, and XLSX exports and cloud-backed processing, history, and downloads for supported tasks. Available online tools use our backend and relevant service providers. Features and limits differ between the extension and website; only tools actually made available in the interface are included in the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the higher minimum age required in your jurisdiction, and legally capable of agreeing to these Terms. If you use FollowGrid for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization.

3. Your Account and Instagram Session

You are responsible for accurate account information, safeguarding your sign-in credentials, and activity authorized through your account. FollowGrid uses Clerk for authentication and associates credits and eligible history with your account. Do not share access or use another person's account without authorization.

FollowGrid checks whether an Instagram session is available when the extension opens or regains focus. It uses that session to send requests only when needed for connection status or features you initiate. You are responsible for the security and authorized use of your Instagram account.

4. Acceptable Use

You may access and export only information that is lawfully available to you through your connected Instagram account. You agree not to use FollowGrid to:

• Bypass privacy controls, login restrictions, access controls, or technical safeguards;
• Harass, stalk, surveil, discriminate against, or unlawfully profile another person;
• Send spam, build unlawful marketing lists, or facilitate unsolicited bulk messaging;
• Violate privacy, data protection, intellectual property, or other applicable laws;
• Violate Instagram's terms, policies, or applicable automated data collection rules; or
• Interfere with Instagram, FollowGrid, or any related system or network.

You are responsible for obtaining any consent and establishing any lawful basis required for your collection, storage, use, or sharing of exported data.

5. Exports and Data Responsibility

Supported tasks upload profile and relationship records to our backend and cloud storage for validation, history, credit settlement, and downloads. Export files can be prepared on your device from the resulting data. You authorize processing needed to carry out your requests and represent that you have the necessary rights to submit and process that information.

You are responsible for protecting downloaded files and links, choosing retention periods for your copies, and ensuring later use or disclosure is lawful. Closing or refreshing the extension may stop a task or clear unsaved local results, but does not erase uploaded records. History access is limited by the applicable account window and is not a permanent backup service or a guarantee of deletion when that window ends. Maintain your own lawful backups of files you need.

6. Credits, Payments, and Refunds

FollowGrid credit packs are one-time purchases, not subscriptions or automatic renewals. Prices and included credits are shown on the pricing page and at checkout; review the final amount before paying. Stripe processes payments. Unused purchased credits do not expire. Credits are service entitlements, not a cash balance, and cannot be redeemed for cash except through an eligible refund or where required by law.

Tasks may reserve credits and settle usage based on the service's validated results. A stopped or partially completed task may consume credits for results actually delivered; unused reservations are released according to the task outcome. Credit balances, usage, and purchase history are maintained by the backend. A browser redirect alone is not proof that payment has been confirmed or credits issued.

Consistent with our published pricing policy, refund requests may be made within 24 hours of the transaction by contacting support. Where permitted by applicable law, an approved refund is calculated from the original purchase amount, less the value of used credits at that pack's per-credit price and a 3% processing fee on the unused portion. If no credits were used, the 3% fee applies to the original purchase amount. Refunded unused credits are removed from your balance. After 24 hours, purchases are non-refundable except where required by law. Mandatory cancellation, refund, and other consumer rights take priority over these limitations.

7. Third-Party Services

FollowGrid depends on Instagram, which is operated by Meta. FollowGrid is not affiliated with, authorized by, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram or Meta. Instagram controls its interfaces, availability, response data, access rules, and request limits. Your use of Instagram remains subject to Instagram's own terms and policies. Authentication, payment, hosting, storage, analytics, and available online data collection features also depend on third-party providers. Their outages or restrictions may affect service availability.

8. Availability and Changes

Instagram may change or restrict the interfaces FollowGrid relies on. As a result, availability, result counts, fields, and loading performance may change or stop working without notice. We may update, suspend, or discontinue features, subject to applicable law and any obligations relating to paid services. Material changes affecting paid access will be communicated where required. These provisions do not override mandatory refund or consumer rights.

9. Intellectual Property

FollowGrid, CommentGrid, and their original software, designs, text, and logos are owned by CommentGrid or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you ownership of FollowGrid or third-party content. Instagram and Meta names and marks belong to their respective owners.

10. Feedback

If you send us feedback, you grant us the right to use it without restriction or compensation, provided we handle any personal information in accordance with the applicable privacy policy.

11. Termination

You may stop using FollowGrid at any time by signing out or uninstalling it. Doing so does not automatically delete cloud data, close your account, or refund purchases. Contact support for account or data requests; applicable retention obligations may still apply. We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, legal requirements, security risks, or discontinuation of the service.

12. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FollowGrid is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that Instagram will return every account or relationship available to you.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CommentGrid and its suppliers, partners, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages; loss of data, revenue, profits, or business opportunities; account restrictions imposed by a third party; or costs arising from your use of exported information. Our aggregate liability relating to FollowGrid will not exceed the greater of USD $50 or the amount you paid for FollowGrid during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless CommentGrid and its personnel from claims, losses, and expenses arising from your unlawful use of FollowGrid, your exported data, or your violation of these Terms or third-party rights.

15. General Terms

If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. We may update these Terms and will revise the effective date when we do. Applicable mandatory consumer protections and laws remain unaffected.
